Food Advisory Council for Memphis and Shelby County

The Food Advisory Council for Memphis and Shelby County (FAC) is diverse array of metropolitan Memphis constituents, who meet regularly to promote well-researched and evaluated policies and regulations designed to enhance local food economics, in partnership with farmer advisory boards comprised of urban, suburban and rural growers.

The FAC is a community council; in the past, GrowMemphis acted as the sponsor for the council. Since the formation of the Tilth, the Tilth is now the sponsor of the FAC. The Food Policy Program is a program under Memphis Tilth and the FAC is a project of the Food Policy Program.
