Slow Food Memphis
Slow Food Memphis is one of more than 200 Slow Food chapters across the United States. The idea was sparked when a group of like-minded individuals found one another through the work they were doing on projects within the Memphis community. The chapter was organized in 2007 with the mission to educate the community and further the movement of creating a good, clean and fair food system and protecting our local food culture.

Memphis Made Brewing Co. is a small independent production brewery located in the vibrant neighborhood of Cooper-Young. In Memphis, Tenn...duh. We produce three year-round beers and also do plenty of seasonal and limited run brews. We're dedicated to raising the bar for good beer in Memphis, both for those who live here and for those who are visiting our fair city.

AgLaunch attracts, creates, and grows agtech startups, facilitates the development of new agriculture and food value-chains, and builds collaborative farmer networks, with a commitment to intentional inclusion.
The 275 Food Project
The 275 Food Project is committed to working collaboratively to build an equitable local food economy in Memphis that shifts 20% of food spending to local farmers and food entrepreneurs, ensuring access to high quality, locally sourced food for Memphians regardless of income. The impact of keeping more food dollars local is significant: increasing the profitability of local farmers, generating hundreds of living wage jobs and catalyzing innovative new food businesses across the system.
Christian Brothers University
Christian Brothers University is a Catholic university in the student-centered tradition of the De La Salle Christian Brothers in Memphis, TN. CBU fosters academic excellence in a range of programs to prepare students from all faiths and backgrounds for careers and lives informed by the Lasallian values of faith, service, and community.
Our editorial scope is simple. By contextualizing each post with simple ingredient explanations and fun history facts, we hope to inspire you to create your own unique dishes. While our recipes can incorporate industrial food, we recommend sourcing locally when at all possible. Seasonal produce and free-range meats always yield the best flavor. Most of all, we believe they contribute to a healthier ecosystem and a more connected community.
